Thanks to all who came to the Franklin County Republican Committee's 2nd Annual Jazz Under the Stars event on June 27th. Over 200 people attended, and the committee was able to raise over $9,000.00 for its activities in 2009.
If you couldn't make it this year, don't miss it next year.

On June 6, 2009, the Franklin County Republican Committee unanimously elected Ronald A. "Ronnie" Thompson as the Republican candidate for the Boone Magisterial District seat on the Franklin County Board of Supervisors. On June 9, 2009, it was determined that Ronnie will run unopposed for the seat. On November 3, 2009, Ronnie Thompson will be the first Republican elected to the Franklin County Board of Supervisors in its history.

Come join us for our 2nd Annual "Jazz Under the Stars" at the Historic Holland-Duncan House, on Saturday, June 27, 2009. The event begins at 4:30 p.m., and will feature the Jazz stylings of the famous Charlie Perkinson Trio. Homemade southern style barbeque, with all the sides and fixin's, as well as beverages will be available for purchase. We will have a live and silent auction where political memorabilia, vacation trips, artwork and other fine items will be sold to the highest bidder. Last year's event had over 250 people in attendance, and we expect this year's event will be even bigger. We also expect to have both local and state candidates in attendance. We look forward to seeing you for some good jazz, good food, and good politics....
