Congrats to Del. Marshall and his campaign team for a successful victory. I'm very pleased to know that we will continue to have an unwavering, vocal conservative like Delegate Marshall fighting for all of the citizens of the commonwealth in Richmond.

Congratulations Bob. You're an example of the kind of statesman whose interity and principles we need more of in our party's leadership across the state and this nation.

Yay Bob!!!! I've been behind you since the beginning and am very happy you won. Heck - you didn't just win, you won RESOUNDINGLY!

Virginia, and the residents of this district, need you. You are a good and honest man who isn't afraid to stand up for what's right. For that you have earned my utmost respect and support.

There are battles ahead, big battles in areas we don't typically look. The CCSSI, which will give the federal government the authority to draft Virginia's standards of learning and achievement exams, will undermine Virginian's ability to establish and implement the academic standards we believe our children need.

More than ever before, parents deserve a choice in how their children are educated through vouchers and instructional choice. For far too long we've allowed the Democrats to run the show at the VA DOE. And look what it's gotten us - colleges that have to send increasing numbers of students to remedial non-credit classes and kids who can't add or subtract without a calculator. Governor Kaine already committed that Virginia will adopt and implement the standards drafted by the CCSSI. If the CCSSI's recent college readiness standards are any indication, the grade level standards this group develops will lower the bar of expectations for Virginia students even further.

We've got big battles ahead. I'm so happy you were re-elected, Bob, because I know the people of this district have an advocate who will fight for them.

Thanks again to everybody who helped so much. We proved the papers and the naysayers wrong again. We need to continue to build on these victories, Godspeed.

Bob Marshall and Ken Cuccinelli have something in common. They have won the heart and soul of the pro-life Republican Activists. We get excited about people who truly protect the unborn and have a 100% rating from the Family Foundation. That instills much more excitement than Republicans who are trying to appeal to the people in the middle. We can count on Bob Marshall to stand up for the unborn no matter what. He does not compromise his beliefs. Ken Cuccinelli is like that also but still got elected in Northern Virginia. There are still a lot of people with Christian beliefs that get behind SOLID Conservatives, We don't want people who waiver. Some say that are pro-life to get our votes but we know that Bob Marshall and Ken Cuccinelli have the voting records to prove it.

From now to election day I will be supporting Bob Marshall and the rest of the ticket 100%! He is my delegate, I live in his district.

As for those who are unhappy with the ticket, I say you didn't work hard enough to find candidates of your liking and promote them. The task at hand is to support the ticket we have and not lose anymore ground or freedoms.

I heard the same arguments about McCain and saw folks laying back and staying home, and in the face of the assault on our freedoms that we are witnessing today, I say, stuff your benign opinions. We have a job to do and that is to defeat the Democrats this November.

To anyone not satisfied with the ticket, you have four years to find candidates to your liking and promote them to the nomination. Any further discussion at this point just impedes our efforts here. I would invite you to take your disgruntled opinions to another site and save your enthusiasm and support for our candidates for this site, whose main purpose is to elect our candidates. The day after election day will come soon enough and you can resume your search for new candidates.

Meanwhile I ask that you all stay on topic, this page is about what we can do to support Bob Marshall.

I believe that the moral prerogative that charters the party cannot be cast aside merely at the bidding of the mechanism itself. It saddens and concerns me that we often see that the most important standard that our candidates are held to, is one of mere victory. Of late, the principles that are the very foundation of the Republican party, have not been so victorious. If winning elections is our only goal, then we really have no goal at all. Our end, if it be just, is the implementation of sound policies -- those that are requisites for a free society.

This will be my only contribution to this off topic discussion.

Thank you Donna. All I can say is that I find it sad that all these naysayers have hijacked the Bob Marshall page to try to denigrate our own candidates. I'm whole heartedly supporting our entire ticket and suggest the rest of you do the same unless you want our State House to look like the present day White House. Those who gossip, whine and bet against any part of this ticket are self-defeatists. Start embracing what we have here guys if you want winning results.
