Sarah Palin Announces Resignation:

Governor Palin Honors Veterans on Memorial Day

May 25, 2009, Fairbanks, Alaska - Governor Sarah Palin today read a Memorial Day proclamation to honor military members at Veterans Memorial Park in Fairbanks. The governor also signed Senate Bill 45, which establishes an Alaska veterans' cemetery near Fairbanks. SB 45, sponsored by Senators Gene Therriault and Charlie Huggins, directs the Department of Military and Veterans Affairs to pursue the creation of a U.S. Department of Military and Veterans Affairs-approved cemetery where veterans can receive their full burial rights.

"On this Memorial Day, we remember, honor, and give thanks to those who died in service to this nation," Governor Palin said. "Today, we honor all of the brave men and women of our armed forces who made the ultimate sacrifice in defense of the freedoms we hold so dear."

Governor Kaine should do what Sarah had the guts to do. I believe she will come to Virginia. When she came toFairfax they couldn't get enough busses to haulthe people to and from the parking.

Well, I've been in Alaska going on four days, and I haven't crossed paths with Sarah yet. But, you know what they say about the size of Alaska, it BIG, bigger than Texas. We'll be passing through Wasilla tomorrow on the way to Whittier, so I guess I'll try and take pics as we swing through on the train.

Wow, boys and girls, I'm surprised there is no chatter here about Sarah's resignation and the opportunity for her to serve her country in a higher capacity. Wouldn't it be nice if she could find some time to come to Virginia and help out Bob McDonnell and the rest of the ticket!!!

I wanted to draw your attention to this important petition that I recently signed:

"Palin 2012: Run Sarah Run"

I really think this is an important cause, and I'd like to encourage you to add your signature, too. It's free and takes less than a minute of your time.
