Daryl, I do not agree with one side or the other, friend. I deal in absolutes. American corporations pay absolutely staggering amounts of taxes (first- we have to point out that a company will not pay taxes as long as they can raise the cost of products to cover that tax) when they can no longer raise their product's pricing to cover the model. At that point, they demostrate their for-profit tenet, and pick up to somewhere where the taxes are tolerable.
As a business owner who makes money thru my toil and sweat, I understand their desire to keep what they were smart enough to earn.

To your points about writing off charity...I'm lost. What is the point where it comes from, so long as it is given, and helps someone to pull themselves up by their bootstraps until they can do for themselves? I don't give because it gives me a write-off. I do it because it allows me to give back for what I've recieved in my life from others. Paying it forward, in a way.
I recall the Republican Creed.
If you believe that the free enterprise system is the most productive supplier of human needs and economic justice.
That all individuals are entitled to equal rights, justice, and opportunities and should assume their responsibilities as citizens in a free society,
That fiscal responsibility and budgetary restraints must be exercised at all levels of the government,
That the Federal Government must preserve individual liberty by observing Constitutional limitations,
That peace is best preserved through a strong national defense,
That Faith in God, as recognized by our Founding Fathers is essential to the moral fiber of the Nation

It seems as though you are agreeing with companies taken away from Americans. There is no reason for a company to take their business elsewhere, while benefiting from both countries. Sorry I do not agree with you on that issue. Now let us get into wealth. Most people that contribute anything, writes it off. Let us be honest here with that, that is a charitable contribution and they receive tax breaks on that. It is a total difference when somebody gives for nothing in return. The way that is used in example is this, when you walk down the street and someone asks you for a dollar and you give it to them.

There-in is the problem. Most progressives are very happy to tell you how to spend your money, but want a different standard with their own money. They're most generous, but never with anything that THEY have to provide.
Most of the wealthy conservatives are compassionate people, and without actually being made to...they will contribute upwards of 20% of their profits to the less fortunate. Progressive/liberals, on the other hand are hard-pressed to part with a mere 5%.

As to those companies moving into realms outside of America's borders... how can you blame them. The American people are about to experience the abominable hike in taxes that will make them wish that they, too, could relocate outside of America.

Are any of you attending the first national tea party convention? This will be a great opportunity to network and meet others like us. It is already an event on this site, and they have their own website to register and information. Initially the due date for registration was today, but they have extended it to 1/19. Hopefully I'll be able to make it!

George, I actually apologized about the misunderstanding. As stated breaks in statements can led anyone to think whatever they want. Now to your comments. Trade is the eonomical way of growth, however it should be done where you stand first. There are billions of people in America that can trade services, however we give so much to others while taking away so much from ourselves. You are correct, we give trillions to others, in the pursuit that they will follow our path, not understanding it takes away from those who stands with America. It is the biggest misdirection in thought that I ever seen. As an example, China basically owns America. We are so in debt with them, if they pull our cards and want all their money back we would be in serious trouble. History shows the richer your people are, the richer the country will be. I was just telling my friend this, we have thousands of billionaires and multi millionaires walking around today. If we did not have selfish minded people, half of our problems would be solved. But then again, is it there place to put food on my table? They do this by creating more jobs, but they can't do that when there is so much regulations.

For what it's worth I don't generally attach my own meaning to someone else's words. So, I found nothing racial much less racist in this comment. I did think it derogatory and therefore appropriate.

Excuse me BJ for misinterpreting your post. This is why I explain to some people and try to remind myself not to pause in my statements. A good thought can go awry. Sorry again my apologies for not understanding your post, I now agree with you. Now the issue here for all of us is to counteract the downfall of America's political system. We are afraid to end the terms of those who are serving themselves more than the people. The unemployment rate is so high, I know I am amongst them. Fear whips away jobs, because a CEO wants to keep his money. He sends jobs overseas for cheaper rates, and America allows this, even encourages it with tax breaks. What I want to see is America for just one year think of America first. Imagine if we have that slogan. We can totally change the face of America in 6 months if we would not put all our resources into other countries. However, doing this brings democracy, and others say our safety. We spend trillions a year on developing other countries, but we walk past a hungry family that lost their jobs, then tell them get a job. America has lost her values, because he values is building other countries values. Can anyone see what I am talking about?

The issue comes truly with most politicians can not associate with the average person. This has been our problems since America has been founded. We do not put people in office that understand hunger, who lost jobs. This is where are problem comes in at. You can never have a person that does not know economic depression, to write a law for you. I am not trying to advertise myself here, but then again let me. I want to become a politician. I know the laws I write and stand for will be for the people. When the laws are for the interest of the few, and not for the majority, we will always have unemployment, health care reform, taxation and privileges for those who are already privileged. We need a true new change.
