I am very fortunate that I am a black republican living today in Chesterfield county. There is so much that, we as republicans can do to make life better for all Americans. It is necessary for us all to revert to the thoughts, the wisdom, and the ways of the founding fathers. We have lost that noble cause because of materialism and self-indulgence. I have worked on several political campaigns throughout my life. I have been honored to see some make office. Today is a day that we all must create changes. I have lost everything this year because of the economy. I have lost my house, cars, etc. I have decided to create a change. I hope that one day; I can be the voice of the Republican Party. I am the average individual. I know the difficulties and what needs done to get it right. Sometime in the very near future, I would love to run for political office here in Chesterfield. Into that time comes, when I am called upon, I support every republican that is running for a change. I hope that soon, the members in this group will also support me in my endeavors to run for office.

I offered to save our county tens of thousands per year by outsourcing their delivery fleet. I see no reason why this, or any county, should be in the business of running a courier service when it can be outsourced much more cheaply. I was told they were not interested.

How can we fix national government if local government isn't actually willing to look at reasonable cost cutting measures.

How do you guys feel about having your recycling pick up limited to one day per month. Personally I don't care as long as I have a place to bring my recycling and if they do pick it up they do so at a consistent time. I missed my pick up this week because they came before 7am instead of after 9am which has always been the time.

Joe, I believe just asked. Activists who are part of Patrick McSweeney's "Restoring the Founders Vision" are working to recruit good conservatives to run for office. Guys like you, who are willing when asked, are hard to find.

Thank you Donna for the kind words. Hopefully someday, maybe soon, I may have the chance and be asked to run for office.

Joe should run for office. We need more patriots to vote for. We certainly have a lot of elected officals that need to be replaced.

I agree Joe. You should post this as a blog or discussion so that all can see and reply.
