Information

The Republican Women Central

Locally chartered as "Central Republican Women" - a local chapter of the VFRW, we're here to bring together the women of Central Va, around Lynchburg and the surrounding counties, and offer a forum for all of our members, supporter, and friends.

Location: Lynchburg
Members: 33
Latest Activity: Feb 7, 2010

The women of Central Virginia, particularly in Lynchburg and the surrounding counties, have joined together to found The Central Republican Women, the local chapter formed by the founders of The Republican Women Central. This new chapter of the Virginia Federation of Republican Women is dedicated to allowing all women to become active in the politics of the region, state, and nation, especially in the areas of Central Virginia that have not already had their own chapter of the VFRW.

For all women who live in Lynchburg, eastern Bedford County, Campbell County, Amherst County, and even Appomattox County, we're bringing together a dynamic group from all walks of life who want to take a stand and lend a voice to the political world around us and who want to ensure that the principles of the Republican Party continue to grow in our country.

This group is founded as a forum and network for all women who are joined in The Republican Women Central and for all of our friends who support our goals, activities, and achievements and who join with us in the belief and knowledge that the Republican Party is the right party to lead our nation to the prosperity, security, and moral foundation to, indeed, be the greatest nation on the Earth.

While the local chapter has been chartered as the Central Republican Women, we have chosen to keep the group here and on Facebook as The Republican Women Central, not just as a location for our VFRW group, but as a forum for all who are joined in the cause of promoting the place and role of all women in Virginia, Republican politics...and beyond.

The Republican Women Central attended the annual dinner meeting of the Campbell County Republicans at the Spring House in Concord to show our support.

We also spread the word to the women of the Lynchburg and surrounding counties area that we have a new group, especially for Republican Women to become active in our party's politics in our area, Virginia, and the nation.

Thanks to the Campbell County Republicans for having us!!

This message is just to say thank you to all who have already joined our group here on RPVNetwork. We're also on Facebook and encourage everyone to join us there, too.

Our first, organizational meeting is tomorrow, 10 January, at 4:30 at the Forest Public Library. For any who will be in our area tomorrow, we'd love to welcome you to the group. This first meeting will be to get us chartered as the VFRW's newest chapter, including the nomination and election of officers, schedule planning, etc. It will be a short meeting - only one hour, but it's an important one as we get started.

Brenda Campbell, the president of the VFRW, and Denise Bailey, from the Roanoke Valley Republican Women and the Sixth District, will be joining us to get us started.

Thank you to all who are showing their support for our group. We'll keep you updated on events and topics as they arise.

Thanks to all!

We'll be headed out to the dinner at the Spring House in Concord to support the Campbell County Republicans this evening, like Trixie. If any other groups have events that might need our support, pass it on. We'll round up what we can!!

Hi Lynn - not sure if I have joined yet or not. I live in Roanoke but travel your area frequently. In fact, I"ll be in Campbell Co. this evening. Hope to see you there!
