Ralph - what you said is acceptable. However, after a candidate or anyone else for that matter states their position on this subject why not let the issue rest until its presented again for ratification or appeal rather than talk about it indefinitely? What are your thoughts about other very urgent business legislators have to consider?

Granted, both candidates are pro-life. What more can someone say? Now lets move on to address pocket book economic issues which effects everyone.

I just got the mailer comparing Fimian to Obama's nominees over taxes. We have a complicated tax code - it is easy to make mistakes and the lien that was put on Keiths company was because a contracter did not file the paperwork, when the mistake was found the taxes were paid. This kind of intellectually dishonest attack is disgusting, we deserve better dialogue.

Also, I was at the Family Alliance fund raising dinner the other night, Keith Fimian and his staff bought tickets for the dinner and took out an ad in the program. Nancy Herrity (Great Lady) was there but there was no other support from his campaign. Keith has pro-life literature is vocal about his support for the unborn, the only time I've heard Pat mention being pro-life was when it was lumped in with being pro-gun.

Agree that in the off chance that harrity wins the primary I would support him. However, fimian is bold enough to completely denounce the Obama admin, while herrity has not. I have proof in hand, since I will vote via absentee ballot due to an upcoming trip, and received a letter from both candidates making their case. Fimian wins hands down. He is not a career polititian and very strongly pro-life, two qualities that distinguish him from herrity.

Either one of them would be a major improvement over Connelly. They are not that far apart on the issues. So far the negative campaigning has been about average for a primary. For some reason, fights are always more vicious when they are intra rather than inter. The choice really comes down to personalities and qualifications. Herrity is a tad more intellectual and Fimian is way more dynamic. I'll probably vote for Fimian in the primary but wouldn't have any problems with Herrity as the nominee.

I will have to say that I recieved a mailer from Pat Herrity which I found in very poor taste: all negative and false attacks. That did it for me, and I also let their campaign know that. We do not need another corrupt or dishonest politician in DC, we have plenty of those already! Fimian has my vote.

The Peterson Family
Dear Eleventh District Voter,

We need your help to ensure that Pat Herrity replaces Congressman Gerry Connolly as Representative of Virginia's 11th District.

For decades you and we have worked hard to make Virginia the best state in the country to live and do business. Congressman Gerry Connolly has been, to say the least, disappointing and detrimental to our community as he has voted 97% of the time for Obama-isms: healthcare reform, excessive stimulus packages and trillion-dollar deficits. We just can't afford to have our Representative support legislation like "card check" whose passage would ultimately negatively affect Virginia's competitive Right-To-Work environment.

By coming together next week we can initiate the transformation away from big government and into an environment that promotes the interests of business and industry.

Pat Herrity has been a successful businessman for over 25 years and also serves on the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors. His successes to date have been the result of his familiarity with the business world, local government and community development. Pat is a true American patriot.

Pat Herrity can unseat Gerry Connolly, a step in the right direction to take back The House. We - and hopefully you - feel a responsibility to good government for the Commonwealth and the Country to do our part to make this happen.

Next Wednesday, May 19th at 7:00 p.m. we will host an event at our home and ask you to join us to show personal and financial support for Pat and his campaign. In event you can't attend please donate or send a friend.

We look forward to seeing you next week.

Atty Gen Ken Cuccinelli Endorses Keith Fimian!

Today, I am proud to endorse Keith Fimian for Congress. Keith's experience and record of creating jobs here in Northern Virginia makes him an ideal candidate to face off against Gerry Connolly this fall.

Keith is staking out the same conservative positions now as he did in 2008, and his steadfast support of the Constitution is an asset we could use on Capitol Hill. And unlike Gerry Connolly, Keith has shown that he will not change his tune to win votes. He will stand up to the Washington insiders and fight for what is right, no matter what.

As an entrepreneur, small businessman and job creator, Keith Fimian is exactly the kind of leader we need in Congress right now to turn this economy around. He will focus on creating jobs, cutting spending and he'll work hard to get government out of the way of businesses doing business. Keith Fimian is 100% pro-life -- he's someone we can trust to always vote to defend our traditional values and stand up for families.

If Republicans are going to make a meaningful comeback in 2010, we need candidates like Keith who will carry their conservative principles to Congress - not return to the business-as-usual politics that lost us the majority in the first place.

Keith Fimian has the qualities and experience we need to win in November. We need Keith Fimian in Congress, and that's why he's earned my endorsement. Please join me in supporting Keith in the Republican primary June 8th and again in November.

Sincerely,

Ken Cuccinelli, II
Attorney General of Virginia

Amy, thanks for this information. As Prince William County more becomes the epicenter of northern Virginia GOP politics I am looking forward to Keith increasing his exposure here.

Keith Fimian (and his staff) put on an outstanding health care town hall last night! It was a full house (300ish) and applause/cheers were abundant. The panelists (Grace Marie Turner, Jim Capprotta and Tom Miller) were very candid, shared with us a lot of additional detail and perspective we have not heard elsewhere. Attendees presented well thought out and astute questions, comments and observations. Keith impressed - he interjected some poignant remarks and promised more town halls in the future, including after he is elected to Congress (dissimilar to recent activities of Gerry Connolly). The crowd rendered a standing ovation for the event. It was a great showing. I am sure Keith gained some new supporters for his candidacy for the 2010 election and the grapevine will spread the good word. News breaking last night that Organization for America quickly organized a counter-event for today is a good sign, too!
