There is absolutey no doubt about what the Founding Fathers intent was with the 2nd Amendment. it is evidenced over and over in their writings:

Comment by Lewis Hawthorne on March 15, 2009 at 6:35pm: Yes I am onre of those boys that has had a gun in my hand since befor I started school. even if it was an Easy Ryder bb gun. I have been hunting ever since I was old enough to carry my bb gun.
Then by age 8I was hunting with my grandfathers Iver Johnson 12 guage. Then age 17 I was in uniform in the U.S. Army protecting our country and my rights to bare arms.
I am now past the age of 50 and a officer of the law I still feel like I am trying to protect my rights by keeping the unlawful as i am told to call them "offinders" on the inside of the fence. I dont think us law abbiding citizens and protectors of our families and our country should have our rights taken away for any reason.
The problem ive seen that Washington wants to tax the ammo so hight that we cannot afford to purchous it

They will try and take our guns, tax on cattle (which people raise for food), they will end up taxing those who have out door woodburners, saying it's poluting the air, control all work in this country so you have to work for them to feed your family. I believe we will go beyond socialism if we are no careful and lose our constitutional right and we as a people better watch out for what is coming. Do not give up your guns, no matter what. If you do our country will truly be lost.

Thank you for the invite Tom. I have been a VCDL member for about 3 years now. Used to be with the NRA (did a 3 year stint with the group Negotiating Rights Away). Another good organization out there if it hasn't been mentioned yet is the jpfo.org (Jews for the Preservation of Firearms Ownership). We got "bring back the bill of rights" bumper stickers from them. Looking into GOA now.
