- I have been an activist for Veteran rights and POW/MIA's for 20 years. I founded Freedom Now of Virginia, Inc, and was the Director until we closed down the organization in 1996. Then I became active forming a local Rolling Thunder chapter and I became the first woman president of a chapter nationally. I also held local and state postions in VVA fighting for POW/MIA's and their families, as well as active on the National Committee..
I was the only non-veteran to serve on the Vietnam War Monument Foundation, Inc. dedicating the monumnet representing all Vietnam Veterans of the state of VA in Huntington Park, Newport News, VA.
I have also served in my community as a nurse for 30 years. I am currently a manager for Bon Secours Home Care in Newport News, and Norfolk.
