VA Legislation to Stop Dangerous ID, the so-called Real ID scam, in Virginia
Va Liberty Defense is one of 10 organizations to join forces in a statewide campaign to add Virginia to the growing list of states to enact anti-Real ID legislation. Twenty-one (21) states have engaged in an all-out revolt against Dangerous ID (the so-called Real ID scam) and have already passed legislation that will nix the federal mandate and more are expected to follow.
Delegate Bob Marshall has taken another bold stand to stand up to Congress and protect Virginians against federal bureaucracy when he introduced H.B.1587 for non-compliance of Real ID, renamed "Dangerous ID" by Virginia activists.
The VA Liberty Defense grassroots lobbying efforts will gain momentum as they take the news of the bill to the districts across the state. They are certain to shake things up in local politics with upcoming state elections on the horizon .

Governor Kaine Signs Anti-Real ID Legislation Into Law
Eleven organizations came together in coalition during the 2009 legislative session to pass legislation that would prohibit the implementation of the Real ID Act of 2005. On March 30, 2009, Governor Kaine signed HB 1587/ SB 1431, which places limitations on the federal Real ID Act as it applies to Virginia drivers. I can understand that not many would be willing to run against Cantor in 2010, as it seems that anyone with an R after their name may win by default, given the far left march to Socialism. By 2012, Cantor may not be so popular with his deteriorating voting record.

- Donna- You had posted awhile ago that you were going to look for someone to run against Cantor in the next primary in 2010. Hae you come up with anyone who may be interested? Also, in Charlottesville, there is an open seat coming up on the City Council, as a Democrat is not seeking re-election. There are 2 people who may run to fill the seat, both Democrats. There are no Republican contenders. Have any ideas for that open seat as well. I ask you because you have alot more access to political actions and the people involved in the state than I.
