I am trying to reconstruct a small family farm in southside Va.I remember when I was growing up we had all kinds of crops and livestock. Now I am trying to create a small fruits and vegetable farm. With this stimulas the Democrats got us into I have no idea how I am going to expand from having to pay back his money.
My question is how is this stimulating my farm and others like me? If our money is taken away to pay for someone else and not what we need to do for our family how is this…

Here is H. R. 1 the “American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009”. Regardless of your probable bias against it, it is law and it allocates a “ton” of your money for someone to spend. I have found a very small area of expenditure that could benefit Virginia; and, I have made my Republican Virginia Senator and Delegate aware of that provision that might be implemented to their own political benefit as well as to an economic benefit to our Commonwealth.
Many of you have far more…

Saturday, February 14, 2009 Despite the fact that they don't have George W. Bush to kick around any more, the pathological need that comedians and other celebrities have to put their ignorance on display clearly hasn't taken a hiatus.
Bill Maher can be a funny guy, but he really knows very little about politics or policy. So it's absolutely infuriating when this guy gets an hour on Larry King Live to pretend he's a pundit. That must be what…

Today, the House of Representatives passed the multi-billion dollar "Stimulus" package to the tune of over $700 Billion. No Republicans voted for the bill and seven Democrats voted against it. The Senate is expected to pass the bill later tonight. Three Republicans will vote for it -- Specter (PA), Snowe (ME), and Collins (ME). So far, more Democrats have voted against the bill…

Any such conclave would have the authority to completly dispose of the "Bill of Rights" as well as the Constitution as written by the Founders.
There may be well intentioned legislators who feel they could control the process to a tightly limited topic. Nope, it doesn't work that way.…

I've been thinking about a few Constitutional Amendments to improve government:
1. No person having more than two years of higher education in the law or who has ever practiced law shall be permitted to run for public office
2. No person who has never served in the armed forces or been continuiously employed in a private sector, profit making enterprise for less than ten years shall be permitted to run for public office.
3. No candidate for public office may…
