The U.S. will seek a seat on the U.N. Human Rights Council reversing a Bush administration decision to shun the United Nation's body according to a report Tuesday afternoon in the Washington Post. The Human Rights Council replaced the previous Human Rights Commission after nations… Continue

Another Obama Administration Tax Cheat

MSNBC is reporting that President Obama's current nominee for Health and Human Services Secretary, and former Kansas governor Kathleen Sebelius was forced to correct three years of tax returns and pay more than $7,000 in back taxes. His previous nominee Tom Daschle was forced to withdraw over the same issue, and current… Continue

Governor Kaine Signs Anti-Real ID Legislation Into Law

Eleven organizations came together in coalition during the 2009 legislative session to pass legislation that would prohibit the implementation of the Real ID Act of 2005. On March 30, 2009, Governor Kaine signed HB 1587/ SB 1431, which places limitations on the federal Real ID Act as it applies to Virginia drivers. The still-unimplemented federal law requires DMVs in every state to collect and store background information on every driver, but the Virginia law will prevent DMV from collecting… Continue

I recommend Mark Levin's new book: Liberty and Tyranny - A Conservative Manifesto

First a little humor (maybe gallows humor to quote Obama):

September 15, 2008

McCain: “Fundamentals of our economy are strong.”

Obama” “John, what economy are you talking about?”

March 13, 2009

Obama: “Fundamentally sound aspects of the economy.”

McCain: “Barack, what economy are you talking about?”

I just started reading Mark R. Levin's new book: Liberty and Tyranny - A Conservative Manifesto. I'm about 70 pages into it. You can get it at… Continue

Fashion A Republican Victory

Again, to the “disenchanted” for any and all reasons, valid or fanciful, you are wasting your talent in airing your frustrations against the Virginia Republican Party at this juncture in our political history.

Virginia Republicans have no “voice” at the National level. And we’re about to lose our voice at the local and state level - read Larry Sabato!

If you want to be heard from- ever again - all your efforts should be FOCUSED on ideas, material, information, strategies,… Continue

Red Dog Alert

Del. Franklin P. Hall, D-Richmond, will move from the General Assembly to the Virginia Alcoholic Beverage Control Commission.

Is his seat viable for the taking by a Republican this November? If so, is somebody doing something about it?

Only a Marine...

As President Obama got off the Helicopter in front of the White House, he was carrying a baby piglet under each arm.

The squared away Marine guard snaps to attention, Salutes, and says: "Nice pigs, Sir."

The President replies: "These are not pigs. These are authentic Arkansas Razorback Hogs. I got one for Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and I got one for Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi."

The squared away Marine again snaps to attention, Salutes, and says:… Continue

Who Should Be Our Next President? Someone like Daniel Hannan

Who should be our next President? Someone like Daniel Hannan……

Mr. Daniel Hannan is not exactly a household name but he should be.

A Member of the European Parliament from the South East of England, he is now quite the star on YouTube and other media outlets. Here in the States, Fox News Channel and MSNBC amongst others have been running footage of Mr. Hannan’s comments towards British Prime Minister Gordon Brown earlier this week… Continue

First Time State GOP FED UP

Just recently, I received an e-mail that Mitt was going to be a speaker @ the "State GOP CONVENTION IN VA ". As I later explored, this is across the street from the convention @ an additional cost of $75.00 per person.

Initially, I was excited when i received this mail, being a first time delegate, only to find out that I had to pay to get inside. What the heck is up with that ???

I would like to ask the " RPV " how should I vote given these circumstances.

Of course,… Continue

What Do You Want To Be When You Grow Up????

I recently asked my friend's little girl what she wanted to be when she grows up. She said she wanted to be President some day. Both of her parents, liberal Democrats, were standing there, so I asked her, 'If you were President what would be the first thing you would do?' She replied, 'I'd give food and houses to all the homeless people.' Her parents beamed.

'Wow...what a worthy goal.' I told her, 'But you don't have to wait until you're President to do that. You can come over to my… Continue

A New National Cemetery For Virginia

This is a bit off the subject. I am trying to get the following message posted to another group that has nothing to do with the RPV network. I thought maybe you folks might be interested in its contents and intent. I fully appreciate that I'm asking for "bailout" money. But I'm asking because it's there and its for Veterans and could be for Virginia's benefit. I'm not asking for comment on this post. I just want you to read it in hopes that some one out there knows how to get the idea… Continue
