The federal budget deficit for the first 10 months of fiscal year 2009 reached $1.3 trillion, CBO estimates, close to
$880 billion greater than the deficit recorded through July 2008. Outlays rose by almost $530 billion (or 21 percent) and
revenues fell by more than $350 billion (or 17 percent) compared with the amounts recorded during the same period last
year.

Grassroots Campaigning at National Night out

Great turnout last night on the Northside of Richmond in the Bellevue neighborhood for the National Night Out. It was great to see so many republicans turn out to great the community and campaign on behalf of Bob McDonnell, Bill Bolling and Ken Cucinelli. Ken was great as usual talking with those that turned out. Maureen McDonnell was also there supporting Bob and meeting with the nweighborhood residents. Tomorrow, August 4, is President Barack Obama’s birthday.



Last week, the House of Representatives voting 378 to zero passed a measure marking August 21 2009 as the 50th anniversary of Hawaii’s statehood. Rightly so.



The Bill also noted Barack Hussein Obama’s birth in Hawaii on August 4 1961 and a “yes” vote backed HR 593 which even actually drew support from Republicans who question the President’s citizenship.
