Thank you for thinking of me to head a Bath County page for the RPV but I truly do not know enough about how all this works to be able to do that. I don't understand how my vote at the State Convention can be overturned by a group called the SCC. Who exactly are they and how do they have so much power? I spent my time, energy and money to make an effort to go to the Convention in order to try to get two men elected. One man didn't make it and one did. Now they are talking about ousting him. At the time of the vote, after I learned that Jim Gilmore had won the vote to run for Senator, I told our Chairman that I hated to vote for Jeff because I felt he was looking a losing battle in the face and that wasn't fair to him in his first season in office. But I did vote for him and he won. Now I wonder why I am planning on going to the State Convention again this year if a group named SCC can come along and change my vote just like that. I had heard at the Advance at the Homestead in December that they were trying to oust him but didn't succeed. Now here we go again. How on earth can we win in VA if we have all this backbiting going on and no one pulling together?!? It makes me sick to think my vote meant nothing when I felt I was taking a big step in going to the Convention and trying to get the men elected I felt were best suited to win the election and handle our party. To say I am disappointed and disenfranchised is stating it mildly. I have worked very hard up in Bath County to see that we have a multitude of signs out before the election, help with events pushing forth the ones running for office and spend time on the phone calling people in my County. I could go on and on, but suffice it to say, I am ready to tell the SCC and the RPV they can take it and do what they want to with the party, I am tired of giving so much of myself, only to have them turn around and do their own thing!!! Bob McDonnell is bothering me with his comments after reading the Washington Post article, plus his comments on Jeff. Bill Bolling looked at our Chairman at the hospitality reception at the Advance and told him he didn't really need us!! Ok - if that is how he feels, then find someone else to push forward his election.

Tom, Thanks for the welcome. I look forward to working with Chesterfield Republicans to turn our state "red" again. We must come back to our true conservative values. Linda
I am not only a member of the Hampton Roads Republican Women's Club, but I am President. I will be sending out to all our members a link to this website and hopefully many of them will be joining.
Dear Tom - Thanks much for the welcome .... I'll do what I can , but my wife and I are kind of 'loners' , with most of our family still living 230 miles away (North by Northeast) , in '"the land-of-taxes" .... Frank K .
I joined the FCRC last year -- and voted for Jeff at the convention. I was a bit nervous about some of the candidates whose chief recommendation was their loyalty to John McCain. Is that part of the problem?
Thank you for the welcome. I lived in Prince William County when I first returned to Virginia in 1978 and was on the Prince William County Republican Committee. I started the Radford College Republican Club in 1965. Virginia has been red every year that I have been in Virginia until last year. We need to make Virginia red again.
Thanks for the welcome, Tom! You are up late! I see you're from Prince William County. My brother lives there in Bristow. We'll do what we can to change VA back to red. However, I want it to be conservative red, not RINO red! I've heard mixed reviews of McDonnel and Bolling. Anyone care to enlighten me? I'm also looking forward to the AG debate in Culpepper next Monday, March 16th. I hope we have a good turnout and they talk like people, not lawyer PC politicians!! I want them to tell me where they stand, not tell me what they think I want to hear!
Hi! I'm just now seeing a message from you from January. I'm not sure what it was in regard to, but you mentioned putting up a Lee County page. Do you recall?
Also, do you know how I can put up a Lee County page in the "committees" section of the RPV website? (This may be what you wrote about long ago?)
Thanks,
Damie
