Dear Delegate,
We are working hard at the Republican Party of Virginia to ensure your experience at the 2009 Republican State Convention is a great one! Below you will find some helpful information that will hopefully make your experience a bit smoother.
Registration: Due to the tremendous interest in this convention (over 10,500 delegates, alternates and guests!) registration lines on Saturday may be long. Friday registration hours have been extended to 9:00pm to help as many delegates as possible to register. Delegates living in the Greater-Richmond area are encouraged to register on Friday even if you cannot attend the Friday session of the convention. If you must register on Saturday, please be prepared to arrive early to get through registration. Delegates and guests may pick up their credentials and event tickets at the lower Leigh Street entrance of the Coliseum. Open registration times are listed below. Once you arrive, please proceed to the registration line indicated by the first letter(s) of your last name. Delegates must show identification to pick up their packet.
Delegate & Guest Registration at the Richmond Coliseum:
Friday, May 29, 2009 - 8:30am to 9:00pm

Once you have picked up your packet, VIP Delegates can walk to the VIP area in the East Exhibit Hall to pick up their Official State Convention Gift Bag. All Delegates and Guests can proceed to the concourse level to check out the vendor tables, concession stands, or find their designated seats. Delegates who have registered and picked up their credentials on Friday should use the 5th, 6th and 7th street entrances to the Coliseum on Saturday. Delegates MUST be wearing their assigned credentials in order to enter at 5th, 6th & 7th Street entrances.
Agenda: Delegates should plan on being at the Coliseum on Friday, May 29th at 2 P.M. for the Official Call to Order. Delegates should be in their seats no later than 9:30 A.M. on Saturday in order to hear Sean Hannity address the convention. The tentative agenda is posted on the RPV website.
Event Tickets: If you are a delegate, any event tickets you purchased will be provided in your registration packets available at the Lower Leigh Street Entrace of the Coliseum. If you would like to purchase a guest ticket, breakfast ticket or upgrade to a VIP delegate, you must do so at the door as we have now stopped taking advanced registrations.
Seating for Guests during the convention: Guest seating will be located in a designated section. Guests will not be able to sit in the delegation seating area. Children are allowed to sit in the delegate section if they are sitting on the lap of the parent. Thanks for the link; I want my kids to hear Adnan's speech. He was the highlight for me. Anybody know if the entire convention (speeches) will be posted or shown on C-SPAN?
Does anyone have a good video link for the Cadet's speech at the convention? He was great!

Thank you to everyone who helped on the Convention, we set a new standard! The new media aspect and visuals were astounding.
There were hundreds of people to put up all of the signs and organize the tables and events, all with sore feet and deserving of a great round of applause!
The Rules say that Resolutions should be sent to the Resolution Committee Chair and/or the Party Chairman, but there is no name or address given for the Resolution Committee Chair. Do these have to be mailed (if so, to what address?) or will E-mails be accepted, and if so, to what E-mail address? Thanks
I have a question about the Convention Rules that you might be able to find an answer to. When the rules state that any literature, etc. inside the Colesium must have a "disclaimer", what exactly does that mean? Does it just mean a statement that it was "produced and paid for by John Doe", or does it require more information than that? I've already had material confiscated recently, and I don't look forward to it happening again.
