Debbie - I was just responding to comments raised. I could support either Keith or Pat, whoever wins the nomination. What I mentioned was an attempt to give facts towards Pat voting to raise property taxes. I do not call that infighting and will not be part of an organization if I got to always button my lip. What got me interested in politics especially the GOP was freedom felt to express myself. Otherwise I could choose to be two faced and hypocritical that all too often exist in politics.

Just to add to what Marta said, I didn't mean that Pat wasn't pro-life, I was just impressed with how active Keith has been on the issue and I think that he would be more likely to introduce pro-life legislation than just vote correctly. And although many peoples taxes dropped, the value of their homes dropped more than their tax burden. It wouldn't nessesarily be unforgivable for Herrity to vote for a rate increase, but it's a legitimate issue and not one that has been responded to correctly. I'm not trying to fight amongst the party, I'm just very disappointed that someone who defended himself with Reagans 11th commandment is now attacking his opponent over a tax lien caused by a contractor who failed to file tax returns.
I expressed my disapproval at some early attacks by the Fimian campaign and congratulated Herrity on running a clean campaign, he assured me that he would stay positive throughout the campaign. The mailer he sent out doesn't just hurt party unity, it hurts his credibility. Neither candidate is perfect, but At least Keith has been trustworthy.

Both Keith and Pat are conservative and both are pro-life. To argue to what degree is like like stating someone is a little pregnant. You either are, or you are not pro-life, period.

Nobody benefits from party in-fighting except Connolly. You're lighting his fire and giving fuel to his flame. There are far more productive ways to ultimately win. You're pedalling backwards. Just a thought, not a sermon.

From what I understand which was very well explained by Pat. Because real estate assessments had plummeted Pat and other supervisors voted to raise the property tax rate to realize equal revenue from prior years. In other words there was no actual increase of cash outlay from the home owner. Careful myself I hope the most staunch conservative tax payer is reasonable enough to understand that kind of business decision that had to be made. Its acceptable to be against excess spending though at some point common has to prevail.

If you want to focus on pocketbook issues - Pat voted to raise personal property taxes.
