I'm anxious to join in the fight to take this country and VA back to Conservative principles, limited government. I do not like the march to Socialism that the current adminstration seems to be taking us on.
Hi Tom, Happy to hear of your love for your wife and children and our nation with godly principles and values. Please pass the word: Welcome to a TEA Party in Culpeper at noon on April 15th. Details TBD. Bring posters! Also Sat 6:30 PM Rappahannock GOP speaker from Reagan White House task force at Sperryville Firehouse on 211W. Potluck dinner. Appreciate, Rita
Thanks Tom. I've been a long term supporter of Jeff Frederick. Worked closely with him as his campaign began many years ago. I'm shocked at the treatment he's getting by our fellow Republicans and I'm thrilled to come along side him to join in the fight. This is where we need to stand together against the tide. It will take me a while to get used to the website, so please be patient with me :)
Amen! Glad to be here, Tom. Scanning the board I see that we have the beginnings of a winning team that could not only take the Commonwealth in November, but also raise the standards, once again, to a level TJ himself would be proud of. And in his spirit, let us remember the motto: Sic semper [evello mortem] Tyrannis, Ron
With no disrespect to you or this form, look at what's happening to America.
Americans do not care if it's a Red, Blue or whatever color you want to label a political group, but do care on having Representation that is equally represented with all views. And most importantly what is right for America and protecting our founding fathers principles and values.
It has been the political parties that have caused the distrust Americans have with our Government. Both Republicans and Democrats have been preaching to America the other party is the evil one and people should support their party.
Before our political process got out of control and becoming money hungry for contributions, we did have difference of views with both parties, and yet, we sat down to work things out to where their views and ours where EQUALLY represented.
I and many Americans now see our political parties as a bunch of whining babies who throw a tantrum if they do not get their way. There is backstabbing in both parties, corruption, dishonesty, thievery, bribes and a tremendous under the table dealing.
I as an American and a new Patriot participating on taking back America and doing what is necessary to replace anyone currently Representing us. Without this drastic and needed change, will leave cancerous Representatives in Office to corrupt new Representatives.
It's time to clean house and replace the career politicians with new "blood" with term limits. Otherwise, a true 2nd American Revolution will take place which will make the 1st American Revolution look like a skirmish.
The choice is ours, when and what we will do, is the question.
So if both parties would stop trying to out do each other, I am sure America would not have the issues we are dealing with today.
Side note: I am a registered Republican and not proud on the way the GOP has mishandled, or even tried responsibly, the GOP. Eric Cantor (Minority WHIP) for instance, has not one ounce of fortitude in standing up for GOP views or for what is right for America. I am not alone in my opinions, I speak what others are afraid of saying.
Thanks for the welcome, Tom. I'm already a member of the local party. I was chair for four years and still very involved.
Tonight, we are having the three attorney general nominees speak at the Germanna Center in Culpeper at 7pm. Free.
Please join us.
Thank you for thinking of me to head a Bath County page for the RPV but I truly do not know enough about how all this works to be able to do that. I don't understand how my vote at the State Convention can be overturned by a group called the SCC. Who exactly are they and how do they have so much power? I spent my time, energy and money to make an effort to go to the Convention in order to try to get two men elected. One man didn't make it and one did. Now they are talking about ousting him. At the time of the vote, after I learned that Jim Gilmore had won the vote to run for Senator, I told our Chairman that I hated to vote for Jeff because I felt he was looking a losing battle in the face and that wasn't fair to him in his first season in office. But I did vote for him and he won. Now I wonder why I am planning on going to the State Convention again this year if a group named SCC can come along and change my vote just like that. I had heard at the Advance at the Homestead in December that they were trying to oust him but didn't succeed. Now here we go again. How on earth can we win in VA if we have all this backbiting going on and no one pulling together?!? It makes me sick to think my vote meant nothing when I felt I was taking a big step in going to the Convention and trying to get the men elected I felt were best suited to win the election and handle our party. To say I am disappointed and disenfranchised is stating it mildly. I have worked very hard up in Bath County to see that we have a multitude of signs out before the election, help with events pushing forth the ones running for office and spend time on the phone calling people in my County. I could go on and on, but suffice it to say, I am ready to tell the SCC and the RPV they can take it and do what they want to with the party, I am tired of giving so much of myself, only to have them turn around and do their own thing!!! Bob McDonnell is bothering me with his comments after reading the Washington Post article, plus his comments on Jeff. Bill Bolling looked at our Chairman at the hospitality reception at the Advance and told him he didn't really need us!! Ok - if that is how he feels, then find someone else to push forward his election.
